Under Part 4, Regulation 15 of the Food Regulations 2009,
Oral notification of a suspected or confirmed food-borne pathogen is required by telephone immediately to the Food Unit on 9222 2000 (if calling after hours leave a detailed message); and
Written notice must be submitted within 24 hours of identification of the pathogen, in the approved form, confirming the oral notice.
